Quote from Juan, “When we started the Ericsson campaign, the strategy was to build 2 boats and sail them together for development. The first boat was needed as early as possible so we designed her as an evolution of ABN AMRO but without much R&D. In parallel, we launched an extensive 17 months R/D campaign that concluded in the designs of Ericsson 4 that was a real evolution and generation change. She included features in the hull and appendages that ended up winning the VOR with a substantial performance difference.”
With L4 there are only 3 other VO70 with the potential to win the Rolex Offshore Major Race.
