Redundant Monitoring
Two completely independent Dräger X-am 5600 units track O₂, CO₂ and H₂, backed by a dedicated Freon sensor for the air-conditioning circuit. Alarms trigger well inside safe limits.

Dead Man Switch
Below 5 msw a timer runs continuously. At nine minutes the pilot is prompted; at ten an alarm sounds; ten seconds later the diving tanks blow automatically and upward propulsion engages. The vessel surfaces whether or not anyone is conscious aboard.

Maximum Depth Protection
A warning is raised 5 m above the configured limit. At the limit an audible alarm sounds. Five metres beyond it, the tanks blow and upward thrust engages automatically until the sub is back within its envelope.

A 100 kg drop weight can be released manually from inside on an independent 60-bar emergency hydraulic circuit — the same circuit that serves the buoy and manipulator releases.
